May 17th, day 3 of Alaskan trip

We stayed at the Trailer Park of Yakima,  Not bad, not expensive.  Had tire trouble again which cut into our time a bit. Same trouble, the valve extension on the left inside dual.  Need a new one, hard to find.  Anywho I am watching it close.  Crossed the Columbia just before the John Day dam into the dry part of Washington.

Beside the river the farms look good, so does the river.

The difference you see is the availability of water.

The big thing for  the Columbia Gorge is the Wind Power.

This construction delay was for thirty minutes.  Wonder if that will happen again on this trip  LOL.
Here we are at the Royal Oaks RV resort at Oroville Wa, ten miles from the Canada border.  We plan to stay here for a couple of days until Sunday morning then cross before all the Canadians start back from their four day weekend. Gas at Ellensbury  $3.99    Omak at the tribal Station, $3.77.   The first couple times filling up the tank would not fill all the way so we had a problem figuring gas mileage.  Seems ok the last two times.
